Nepali movies History

The creation of Nepalese movies is said to have started with D.B. Pariyar’s Satya Harishchandra, which was the principal Nepali-language film to be shot. It was started from Kolkata, India and was released on September 14, 1951. Aama (mother) was the primary film released in Nepal and was released on October 7, 1964. It was created by the Information Department of His Majesty’s Government of Nepal (presently Government of Nepal (GoN)).
